Your Feedback is important!

We are constantly looking at ways to improve the service we give our patients, and welcome any kind of feedback from you, whether it is positive or negative – please don’t hesitate to let us know how you feel.  See our Complaints and Information Sharing page for more information, or if you would like to leave feedback more publicly, take a look at the NHS Choices  webpage on Portesham Surgery.  Here you can leave your comments on our Surgery for other patients to read, and rate us on a variety of indicators.  This is where potential new patients will look to find out about their local surgery before deciding where to register, so your feedback will be useful to other people.

There are several ways you can get more involved:

Portesham Patient Group (PPG)

PPG logo Do you want to be actively involved in ensuring the best possible experience when visiting the Surgery?

Do you want to contribute towards improving services to our patients?

Do you want to help shape the future of our services?

If the answer is yes to any of the above, we would like to hear from you.  Our PPG meets regularly at the Surgery and has representatives from most of our villages and age groups.  Group members are currently preparing some information about themselves and the aims of the group and we will publish that information shortly, on the website, newsletter and in the surgery.  The group itself will be small to allow for good communications and quick decision-making, and will represent both a range of patient ages and interests.

There is a wider “Feedback Group” which we contact from time to time by email to seek a wider range of views, and we positively encourage all patients to take part in this group by allowing us to contact you by email. Please do let us know if you are happy for us to add you to the group mailing list, by emailing Alison Dunbar at or completing the PPG Application Form which is also available at reception.

Please have a look at the PPG’s page here to find out more about their work.

Friends and Family Test

We have a Friends and Family Test tablet computer on our reception desk – this is a very quick and easy way to give us instant feedback when you visit the Surgery.  Have a look here for more details.
