Baby Immunisations

When your baby is four to six weeks old, the Family Health Services Authority will send you a letter inviting you to contact us to arrange for your baby’s first immunisations.  It is very important that you do this as soon as you receive the first letter.  Your baby has some residual immunity from the mother in the first few weeks of life, but this fades and if your baby is to be fully protected you should follow the immunisation programme recommended.  If you have any queries about these immunisations please give us a ring and talk to your GP or our practice nurse who will be able to advise you.

The NHS Choices website offers full details about the immunisation programme for babies.
